PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The project included construction of a new influent
flow control station, piping, a new water storage tank
(8.9 MG), cathodic protection, new pump building with
two horizontal split case centrifugal pumps, One Ton
Chlorine Storage and Feed Building, Ammonia Storage
and Feed Building, Diesel Standby Generator Building,
new MCC and SCADA system.
YEAR COMPLETED:
2002
CONSTRUCTION COST:
$2.0 million (KGI's portion of work).
SCOPE OF WORK:
KGI was responsible for preparing preliminary engineering,
final design, and construction drawings and technical
specifications for all of the electrical, HVAC and plumbing
systems involved on the project.
Some of the major
improvements included:
- New 4,160 volt Switchgear
- Two 480 volt MCCs
- Power and Controls
for two pump motors (300 HP and 500 HP) and three
500 HP future pumps.
- Power and Controls
for the Chemical Buildings and Flow Control Station.
- Power and Controls
for the Standby Generator
- SCADA
- HVAC and pluming for
the Buildings
